Powerflush
Has your central heating system develop some of the following problems:
Is the system slow to warm up?
Are some radiators completely or partially cold?
Do radiators need frequent bleeding?
Is radiator water dirty and discoloured?
Radiators with pin hole perforations and leakage?
Are there 'kettling' noises from the boiler?
Do you have repeated pump failures?
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, this could indicate that your system has circulation and flow problems, resulting from internal corrosion and the subsequent formation of rust, sludge, and scale deposits.
A power flush can restore circulation and efficiency to the heating system by removing these undesirable products. It purges them from the system, and replaces aggressive water with clean water, chemically treated to prevent future problems.
Billericay Heating Ltd. has invested in one of the very best power-flushing machines - The Fernox MKII.
How does power-flushing work?
Using a Fernox machine incorporating a 0.45 HP motor, this generates lots of thrust to dislodge magnetite sludge, which slowly clogs up central heating systems. This is then collected by the unit which in turn is manually removed and cleaned.
Incorporating chemical technology during the flushing process makes the process more efficient and uses less water and ensures the flushing chemical is less diluted during the flush.
Powerflushing is highly recommended by boiler manufacturers as the existing system will contain debris and sludge that could effect a new boiler.
Once the flush is complete the system will then be treated with inhibitor to help prevent further corrosion and “gassing up” of radiators.
Our engineers are fully trained and have all the equipment and chemicals available ready to treat your system.
